Marva Dawn strikes again - Hallelujah!

In my local Christian Bookshop (Jacob's Well, in Horsham), I discovered this book in the specials bin - for $9.95 another masterpiece from Marva Dawn. It brings together two of my passions - integrity of our witness with our professed faith, and language.

If you know the work of Lynn Truss entitled Eats, Shoots, and Leaves you will know what I mean about language and correct use of punctuation, in particular. What Dawn is on about reclaiming here is not correct punctuation, but correct usage of vocabulary that has been usurped by our society. To cite one heading, Dawn describes the word "Awesome" as a prime example of a word which has been all but lost due to describe God because of the way in which society uses it.
